Why we build
Small moments of everyday life can ask for a little more support: preparing for a child, keeping in touch, or getting organised. We make focused apps that aim to help with those moments without adding more noise.
Gum & Tide is an intentional challenge for us: to create simple, useful tools for families and wellbeing while keeping privacy, security and practical design front of mind.
Where we come from
Built on a security mindset
Gum & Tide is the app development initiative of BlackCastle Cyber Security Pty Ltd. Years of work in cyber security and security research have shaped the way we think about software: what information it asks for, how it is handled, and what could go wrong.
That background does not make any app risk-free. It gives us a reason to ask careful questions early and to explain each app’s choices clearly.
